| Grand Theft Auto IV in the house; chat with video game expert Brian Crecente at noon Tue, 29 Apr 2008 07:17:57 -0700
Grand Theft Auto IV hit the shelves at midnight, primed to do $500 million in sales the first week alone. Brian Crecente, editor of the gaming Web site Kotaku.com spent five days in a hotel room in San Francisco recently putting GTA IV through its paces. He'll be online at noon to chat about the game. It's like watching the opening of a movie. I sit back on the couch, lay the Xbox 360 controller by my side and take in the opening cinematics of the game. The credits pop up as part of the scenery, blending into the backdrop as Niko, the game's anti-hero, hustles about a merchant marine ship coasting into the harbor of Grand Theft Auto's New York City, known in the game as Liberty City. |

| Did the Broncos have the worst draft in the league? Mon, 28 Apr 2008 12:34:46 -0700 That's what USA TODAY says, grading the Broncos - and the Tennessee Titans - a D+: Happy times when need and the right player coincide. Ryan Clady can eventually step in at LT, where the Broncos lost 11-year veteran Matt Lepsis to retirement. WR Eddie Royal helps on punt returns and gives Denver wiggle room with Brandon Marshall, a question mark because of an arm injury. But why draft Royal after signing veterans Darrell Jackson and Keary Colbert and Brandon Stokley before that? Lot of money is being tied up in this position. Seems a bit harsh after the Broncos picked up the player widely regarded as the No. 2 offensive lineman on the board and a special teams player who should shore up their woeful special teams. What do you think of the Broncos draft? |
