The Tent State protesters are going to get their exercise during the Democratic National Convention.. Their plan to protest the Democrats' refusal to end the war in Iraq includes all-day gatherings at City Park, packing their belongings and walking to the Pepsi Center, feigning sleep, then doing it again each day of the convention. The group's plans to camp out at City Park were thwarted by Denver's refusal to allow them to stay past the park's 11 p.m. curfew. Still seems like keeping them in one spot would be preferable from a security standpoint but nobody asked me. As for feigning sleep, I'm guessing after making the hike from Tent State to the Pepsi Center's protest zone every night, they're going to want some real sleep. |
